December 2008, Cover Stories
A Season of Giving, Praying, Hoping, and Loving
The holidays are always a time of reflection. Are we giving back enough? Some local women who formed Womenade in Hingham don't have to ask themselves that question because they are fund-raising for others everyday. Read more about these phenomenal ladies in our feature story Women Helping Women.
Sometimes the reflections we have are a bit more personal. Kids growing up--- be it the terrible twos or twenty-somethings. When they change, so do we. Our contributors Greg Coyne and Karen Capaccioli share their experiences from two opposite ends. Greg's Girl Interrupted article has a two year old testing boundaries, while Karen learns how to cope with an Empty Nest.
And, what would the holidays be without a little festivities? Give yourself a gift with the new hair-straigtening treatment that We Love! Or, simply buy yourself a new scarf...It's the best accessory, says our fashion correspondent Kathleen Sullivan! Or, simply allow yourself a night out at a gem of a restaurant that we recently found: The Fieldston in Marshfield. The atmosphere is cozy, the company is fun, and the food is both fabulous and affordable! All the right ingredients!
Above all, enjoy reading the December 2008 issue of South Shore Woman and Wink webzine!
Cheers!
